The 16th District Agricultural Association Board of Directors has announced that the 2020 California Mid-State Fair, scheduled to take place July 22 through August 2, has been canceled. The decision was based on the current social distancing restrictions from state and local leaders regarding mass gatherings due to the coronavirus. After a thorough discussion, the Board voted unanimously to cancel the 2020 Fair.
With Covid-19 and the current state of the world – I was not sure if the Mid-Sate fair would even happen, but like so many other businesses, they are adapting to the new ways of life by holding the fine art exhibit digitally.
To make light of a not so light topic, I created this new acrylic painting, “75th Anniversary Social Distancing Party”. My fabulous chickens are enjoying each other in smaller groups, with social distancing and masks for protection. I hope you can enjoy the humor in this painting as laughter keeps us healthy and happy.
