Art Classes at Gala de Arte

INSTRUCTOR: Catherine Lemoine

As well as teaching at Gala de Arte, Catherine teaches on a regular basis at the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art. She has been the demonstrating Plein air artist for Alan Hancock Art Appreciation class and has taught at Trilogy Resorts in Nipomo. Catherine is currently active in the Central Coast Watercolor Society, El Camino Art Association.

ENROLLMENT INSTRUCTIONS: These are one-night, two and a half-hour courses repeated on different dates. Students need only pick one date for each class title to complete. The class requires a minimum of 3 students (8 maximum) otherwise the class will be canceled.

Painting the Flower. Here we will have four weeks to develop your skills at floral painting. We will begin with Tulips, proceeding to Hibiscus, Water Lily and Sunflowers. Learn how each kind of flower has its own beauty and color contrasts. Enjoy shapes and detail work. Put the right leaves in with the correct plant. Have some fun.
